Amanhã comça a 69a. temporada da American Hockey League. Penguins e Manitoba Moose abrem a temporada às 8pm de Brasília.
O site oficial da liga fez algumas previsões e algumas explicações sobre as novas regras. Vou tentar explica-las aqui.
Regras válidas para a temporada 2004-05 da AHL:
Employing a shootout to decide regular-season games which are tied after overtime (pênaltis após prorrogações terminadas empatadas)
Permission of “tagging up” to negate off-side plays (não marcação de alguns impedimentos - é isso?)
Implementation of “no-touch” icing (icing igual o da IIHF)
Widening the blue lines and center red line to 24 inches (from 12 inches) (diminuição da largura das linhas azuis e vermelhas para 30 centímetros)
Moving the goal line back to 11 feet from the end boards (from 13 feet) (passar o gol de 4 para 3 metros de distância das bordas)
A seven-week test, ending Nov. 28, restricting the areas where goaltenders may play the puck in an attempt to increase offensive opportunities without wholly eliminating a goaltender’s ability to assist his defensemen.
